Riga

Why Riga?

The Pearl of Art Nouveau

Whether or not you are a big fan of architecture, it’s hard to miss Riga’s fascinating art nouveau buildings.

Look up at the colourful facades, intricate stonework with swirling nature motifs, bare-breasted goddesses and mythological beasts typical of the style.  There are over 750 art nouveau buildings in Riga exhibiting the rare, wooden art nouveau style.  You will soon understand why Riga is called "little Paris".

POSSIBLY THE BEST SANDY BEACHES IN NORTHERN EUROPE

Most first-time visitors are amazed at how beautiful Latvian beaches are.

Just a 20km drive from the capital is the best seaside resort in the Baltics – Jurmala.  Come here in summer to relax on a wide golden sand beach with endless dunes on the edge of a sunny pine forest, have a stroll along wooden art nouveau villas, book treatment at superb spa hotels or enjoy fine-dining in gourmet restaurants.

For a more relaxed vibe, try Ventspils town in the northeast.

The largest convention hotel in the Baltics

Riga has an outstanding capacity for various business events - from the major international conferences to smaller venues for seminars and special theme events – many within walking distance of the city centre and Old Town.

Riga is also home to the largest convention hotel in the Baltics - The Radisson Blu Hotel Latvija.  With 571 spacious rooms, conference rooms, contemporary restaurants, skyline bar, vibrant nightclub and casino, the Radisson Blu Latvija also boasts a five-star spa centre - ESPA Rīga.

Direct flights from around 80 destinations

When we say that it is easy to reach the Baltic States, we mean it, especially when we speak about its largest capital – Riga.  Every year Riga’s airport serves more than 5 million passengers from around 80 destinations all over Europe, as well as from Asia and North America.

The best nightlife in the Baltics

Riga is the largest city in the Baltics, so it’s no surprise that it has the largest variety of nightlife entertainment with something for every taste.  Most of the bars and nightclubs are located within walking distance of each other in the compact Riga Old Town, making it perfect for a pub-crawl.

If you want to experience something far beyond your expectations, then we are happy to arrange the coolest party, including a ‘Silent Disco Party’, ‘Casino Party’, ‘Cocktail Masterclasses’, ‘Barmen Shows’, ‘Hollywood or Bollywood’, ‘30’s Style Party’, ‘Hipster Style’, ‘Black & White Party’, ‘80’s Style Disco’ – just name it and we can organise it!
